The Gray Forest (the spelling Grey is also acceptable) is one of the nine major Forest Regions of the Fifth of Trees. It covers the remote and unpopulated region northwest of Edilyn Forest, and is otherwise bounded by the Wild Dark in the north and the western mountains. It takes its name from the Forest of Gray, an area of the region known for its graywood trees.

The Forest of Gray is a Forest area in the northwestern part of the region. It is defined by a large stand of broadleaf trees known as graywood, the namesake of the area and region.
