The Southern Forest within the Fifth of Trees.

The Southern Forest is the smallest of the nine Forest Regions of the Fifth of Trees. It is located south of Lake Bala and therefore south of Edilyn Forest. Its position relative to Edilyn is the source of its name, as it is not the southern-most Forest Region. It briefly borders the Western Wood, and its southern and longest boundary is Talkyra Canyon.

It has one major settlement, the large village of Malnec, on the southern shore of Lake Bala. Other communities can be found throughout the region.

The Southern Forest, along with the other western regions, is not a country nor is it part of one.
