Mannakan Independence Movement

The Mannakan Independence Movement was an organized effort by members of the native Mannake community directed at removing Corthan rule over the Northwoods. The end design of the Movement was to establish an independent government for the Mannake people. The Movement is notable for having been kept completely secret from the Corthan government, which was a highly mitigating factor in negotiating the total withdrawal of Corthan forces from the region.

Tactics

The Mannake people cultivate a form of magic known as Branding. Although not being burned into the skin, the magical brands are permanently visible on the practitioner's skin, the designs forming a pattern enabling certain inherent magical effects, such as telepathy, which allowed the rebels to conspire secretly (after a time).
